Bahia de los Angeles, Mexico - Sustainable Fisheries

Sustainable Fisheries

Bahia de los Angeles, Mexico

start date: 2011
Rare and local partners in Mexico work together to prevent the loss of local marine resources by promoting the creation of and compliance with fishery replenishment zones. By reducing overfishing pressures on the ecosystems and improving management of marine resources, not only does the habitat recover, but the community also benefits.

campaign activity

Rare trains Fellows to inspire communities to adopt change through a Pride campaign. Fellows canvas their communities to determine what barriers to sustainable behaviors exist and create pathways to change. Fellows collect information throughout their campaign and adapt their plans based on constant data analysis. Learn more about Pride campaigns
